My Uncle Zvi (Jerzy Tomkiewicz) was a successful business owner in Warsaw before the war. (My sister and I can't remember if it was a hardware store or a scrap metal business.) I believe he was arrested for evading the draft so was sent to a prison camp in Siberia where he worked as a translator (he spoke 7 languages) and survived the war. However, he lost his wife and one child to the Holocaust. After the war he moved to Detroit MI where he married my aunt, Jen Nissenbaum Slatkoff.

I would appreciate any information about Zvi or his wife or child.
