Genealogy Indexer now automatically tries both masculine and feminine forms of Russian surnames, with and without a terminal yer, when you enter your search term(s) in Cyrillic and have selected either "Regular Match" or "OCR-Adjusted." The -ska (ска) feminine ending used in Ukrainian, Bulgarian, etc. is also taken into consideration. Currently, the same algorithm is used for any Cyrillic text, whether Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, etc. and whether surname or not. If your surname has an unusual gendered form, you should still manually search for variants.
