Genealogy Indexer adds full-text and soundex search capabilities to important genealogical resources available elsewhere online.

Search 67,000 pages of historical directories (business, address, telephone, etc.), 28,000 pages of 64 yizkor books (memorials to Jewish communities destroyed during the Holocaust), and 6,000 pages of lists of Polish military officers. Most of the directories are from Poland, Galicia, or Romania. More genealogical resources are being added daily.

First-time users, please note: the original genealogical resources indexed here are viewable as image files, usually on other websites. To view images matching your search term, please follow the instructions given here.

Optical character recognition (OCR) software has been used heavily to perform indexing. Results are not 100% accurate. To find what you are looking for despite OCR errors, select OCR-Adjusted matching when searching. Yizkor book search accuracy may be greatly improved in the future.
